Cheek Mound Lift

Reposition fallen cheek mounds and resulting deep lip and cheek grooves with a surgical cheek mound lift. Lifting the cheek mound can correct deflation or shrinkage of the mid-face region and reposition it in a more lateral and upward position. Dr. Karsan works with patients to achieve natural results that will decrease the depth of these grooves, thus restoring the fallen volume to the mid-face. The cheek lift surgery can also be accompanied by a mid-face implant, or injectable facial fillers to the mid-face or nasolabial groove, to restore a more youthful appearance.

Cheek Implants

Correct a small midface, shrinkage or deflation as a result of aging or weight loss by enhancing the cheek structure through surgical or non-surgical cheek augmentation. Surgically, a mid-face implant can be used to give the face a more full and supple appearance. Alternatively, injectable facial fillers are a non-surgical procedure that can be used to rejuvenate the mid-face region.

Cheek Bone Implants

Cheek augmentation allows you to achieve a more well-defined or balanced mid-face through cheek implant surgery. To acquire a more chiseled look through high cheekbones, implants can be placed to contour the face. The implants are placed over the bone to enlarge and improve its definition. Patients interested in non-surgical cheek augmentation can achieve a similar result with the use of injectable facial fillers.

Lip Cheek Groove Correction

Dr. Karsan can reduce the unwanted depression or groove between the lower nose and the corner of the mouth through a variety of cosmetic treatments. The lip cheek groove is formed when the cheek area sags and descends due to aging or repeated smiling. Depending on the type of groove, different treatments are available. The cheek mound can be lifted surgically to improve the groove. Sometimes a mid-face implant or filler can be used to increase the volume in the cheek and lift the groove. At times the groove itself can be filled with an injectable facial filler to give a more youthful appearance.

Marionette or Drool Groove Correction

Fill the groove caused by marionette lines, or drool grooves, with injectable facial fillers. These noticeable depressions start at the corners of the mouth and make the mouth appear to turn down. Botox® can also be used to turn the mouth upward by weakening the muscle which forces it downward. Either treatment improves the appearance of the downturned mouth. When used together, the results can be even better.
